What we do

Inspire nextgen provides online mentoring and tutoring for refugee students aged 5-14 (grades K-7) over Zoom once a week. Our trained volunteers tutor these students in math, english, current world events, and a weekly book club. Refugee students in Inspire NextGen have come from various countries such as Nepal, India, Bhutan, and many more and currently reside in multiple states across the US. Inspire NextGen follows the curriculum of each student’s school district to ensure the taught concepts are in line with the student’s current academic path. Tutoring works on about a 2:1 / 3:1 ratio, to ensure that each student is able to form a close relationship with their tutor and get enough help and attention for all their work.
